BBH SINGAPORE

Normalising mental health conversations at work

BBH Singapore opened its doors 26 years ago and the office established itself as a creative powerhouse globally.

The facilitators and experts involved don't just talk about theories or definitions, they bring it all to life through personal experiences. This candidness is what often leaves a deep impression on those who have attended the programmes.

— Natasha Lindsay-Barker, CFO & COO

In engaging Calm Collective, BBH Singapore aimed to solve 3 challenges:

"Firstly, to grow awareness and understanding around identifying and coping with mental health struggles on an individual level.
Secondly, to empower managers with the skills they need to create an emotionally safe environment for those they work with.
Finally, to understand best-in-class practices in this space so they can be implemented accurately and in a helpful manner within our company.”

Amanda Lim, Strategy Director

To address these goals, Calm Collective created a series of 3 webinars:

  • Unpacking mental health myths

  • Navigating mental healthcare

  • How to practise empathy at work

Additionally, Calm Collective also conducted a personalised Training for Managers on compassion - the foundation of psychological safety at work.

What made Calm Collective stand out from other options?

“With tangible initiatives such as Calm Circles that really go into the heart of supporting people who may be struggling mentally, it was clear CC is not an organisation that was just about all talk and no action. The community they have built over the years is also incredibly valuable in enabling knowledge exchange. The CC team were also incredibly responsive, easy to speak to and accountable which made working with them very easy and comfortable.”

What made you happiest when working with Calm Collective?

“The candidness, the knowledge and the passion. Sabrina and Alyssa, in particular, have been very open about their own struggles and that in turn inspires a lot of confidence that they have genuine empathy and intimate understanding of the subject matter. Their pool of experts also means they have an extensive body of knowledge to share on a wide range of mental health topics. Calm Collective also never shies away from taboo topics and that itself is a testament to their deep passion to break the stigmas surrounding mental health.” — Natasha Lindsay-Barker, CFO & COO
