Matt Oon is the founder of Acceset, a social enterprise that aims to transform the landscape of mental health care in Singapore through integrating the prioritisation of one’s mental wellness into our everyday lives. Before starting Acceset, Matt graduated from the Singapore Management University (SMU), where he majored in Sociology and honed his passion for studying human behaviour and improving mental health. Soon after he founded the company, he received the 2018 Queen’s Young Leaders Award, in recognition of his dedication to revolutionising the way we perceive mental health in the 21st Century. Currently, Matt is a member of the Wellcome Trust Mental Health Science Community, contributing to the Wellcome Trust Foundation’s robust research on youth well-being and the role of social interaction in boosting one’s mental wellness.
