About this Speaker
An art therapist and adult Third Culture Kid (TCK), Joshua has a rich cross-cultural experience working with people, including individuals with special needs, through the creative arts.
His experience includes serving in community mental health settings with England's National Health Service (NHS), providing individual art psychotherapy for children, teenagers and adults with a wide range of backgrounds, including ASD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, OCD and psychosis.
Trained at the Masters of Arts in Art Therapy programme at the University of Derby, UK, Joshua is an associate member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). He practices a person-centred approach that incorporates Psychodynamic Therapy with the Expressive Arts, Attachment and Polyvagal Theory.
As a former special needs arts facilitator and a designer, Joshua has experienced how art enables people to express themselves. He is particularly passionate about accessible art and cross-cultural experiences.
